My favorite movie of the season is the re-imagined monster movie “The Shape of Water.” It feels to me like a fresh perspective on a classic fable or myth. My son has seen it three times already and we had the idea to design a dinner inspired by the movie. One of the great features of the movie is the use of the color green in the production design. Scattered though the film–from the classic bus, Jello, candies, the soap dispensers in the bathroom to the key lime pie to name a few–the color runs through the entire film and almost becomes a character itself.
